Simmental Bull Art: Mr. S (The story of a bull who loved to hear children laugh)
The real name of Mr. S was Albert, and Albert loved the sound of childrens laughter. One day on the footpath which ran beside his field, Albert saw a mother playing boo with her child: the mother would hide her face behind her hands then, quickly opening her hands, say, “Boo!” and the child would scream with delight.
This gave Albert an idea how he, too, could make children scream with delight. However, for obvious reasons, he couldn't play boo by hiding behind his hands, so Albert came up with an ingenious plan...
A little way further along his field, the footpath disappeared behind a thick hawthorn hedge. Albert's plan was to make a hole in this hedge then, when someone came by, he'd quickly push his head through the hole - and play boo. However, what Albert thought would make his game even more fun was if he waited until dark. Luckily, since it was late in the year, darkness fell just before the school bus pulled up at the stop on the other side of the hedge.
So Albert got busy: he gored at the hedge with his head; gnawed at the hedge with his teeth; and he trampled the hedge with his feet. As the afternoon sun began to fade, there was a hole in the hedge big enough for him to put his complete head and shoulders through. Albert could barely contain his excitement...
He stood agitatedly in the dark waiting for the school bus to arrive. His pulse was racing; his legs were shaking - he was so, so looking forward to hearing the children laugh, giggle and maybe even scream with delight.
Soon, the bus pulled up; the children disembarked; the bus sped off and, through the blackness; Albert could hear young voices approaching.
Albert readied himself. He was so excited he thought he might burst. Then, when the unsuspecting children were directly opposite the hole in his hedge, he charged forwards, rammed his huge head through the hole and roared the biggest, “MOO!” he had ever mooed.
All of Angela's prints are now sent fitted in a FREE Double Mount and, better still, all of our mounts are made from Conservation Grade board.
Alas, this offer only applies to UK Postal Addresses.
Please Note: your delivery must be signed for, so please make sure there is normally someone at home or arrange for an alternate delivery address.
When you order a print from us the first thing we have to do is make it. But, as we do all of our own printing here in our own workshops, that's not a problem, as the person who receives your order is the same person who makes your print: me!
After your print has been produced, it has to dry. Once dry, I have to get the Artist to sign it. So this means a long walk all the way to the other end of the building, where I try to coax her (the artist) all the way back to my end of the building. Oh yes, I know it SOUNDS easy!
Anyway, after all that's done I then pack your print, beautifully, and book a collection with the courier company who will deliver it. Time-wise, this can now be two-to-three days after your initial order was placed (depending on the time of day you placed your order).
After your package has been collected from us the normal delivery service will take between three-to-five working days. So, as you can see, we don't even try to compete on speed of delivery - that's not what we're about. Something else best mentioned here is that your order is still subject to the standard credit clearance checks imposed by our on-line bank
Because each print is made to order, our website doesn't offer a Next Day Delivery service. We can deliver to you more quickly than stated above, but you'll need to call us to arrange this and, I'm sure you won't be surprised to hear, it will cost you more. So if you need a quote for a faster delivery service please call us on: 01464 821 351 and we'll be happy to arrange this.
The majority of our UK Mainland orders are delivered flat packed but, for their added safety, extra large prints will be rolled into a four inch diameter tube. Please Note: for international deliveries we are not responsible for any further taxes, duties or charges to be paid to the receiving country's customs.
