Tiger Art: Peek-a-Boo (A Story Not For The Faint-Hearted)
The tiger had lived in Dalmore for over two years. A great deal of her time was spent sitting in the hallway gazing at the front door. When she wasn't sitting in the hall she would pad back and fore from room to room. On warmer days she would stretch out on the stone floor of the main bathroom, but normally she would enjoy the large bed which was set in the middle of the master bedroom, the windows of which overlooked the loch below. Her nights were split between the master bedroom and the huge sofa in the family room. However, during most of her day, she would sit in the main hall and silently gaze at the front door, waiting.
The main access to the front of the house was by way of a huge and very ornate oak door. This marvellous creation opened into a spacious vestibule. The vestibule door; a modern opaque glass affair boasting a heavy, polished stainless-steel frame, then lead into the main hall.
These doors, although of very high specification, suggested nothing out of the ordinary. However, what made these openings very different from any ordinary door were the two electrical motors, housed in the roof-space above, which controlled them.
The two motors were inactive - until someone pressed the front doorbell. Then, exactly ten seconds after that bell had been depressed the first motor would activate, causing the outer oak door to swing gently open. When the outer door had opened fully, the second of the two motors would then click into life. This motor's only function was to unlatched the inner vestibule door and open it by exactly four centimetres. Then, if this door was moved past the four centimetre mark, for instance, by someone pushing it open, the first door's motor would run again and silently close the huge outer door behind whoever had entered the vestibule.
The tiger hadn't eaten for six days. She sat staring at the door, patiently waiting. Then, on the morning of the seventh day, it happened: the doorbell rang.
The tiger pricked her ears.
Exactly ten seconds after the doorbell had been rung the outer door began to open. Shortly after, a frail voice called out: “Hello! Is there anyone home?”
Through the opaque glass of the inner door the tiger saw a figure move slowly into the vestibule. The huge cat remained perfectly still apart from raising her head slightly and gently sniffing the air.
“Hello, is there anyone there?” The inner door was pushed open. “Hello!”
The outer door clicked shut, and there, trapped in the vestibule, was an old lady dressed in matching tweed jacket, skirt and hat. She wore stout dark-brown shoes and pinned to one side her hat was a striking red and purple feather. In her left hand she held a bright blue container. A white label stuck to the side of the container read: 'Save The World's Starving'.
The old woman looked at the huge tiger sitting in the hall. She tilted her head and smiled. “Oh, a puss-cat! How lovely. I'm rather fond of puss-cats, you know?”
The tiger bounded forward, seized the woman by the throat and carried her into the dining room.

When you order a print from us the first thing we have to do is make it. But, as we do all of our own printing here in our own workshops, that's not a problem, as the person who receives your order is the same person who makes your print: me!
After your print has been produced, it has to dry. Once dry, I have to get the Artist to sign it. So this means a long walk all the way to the other end of the building, where I try to coax her (the artist) all the way back to my end of the building. Oh yes, I know it SOUNDS easy!
Anyway, after all that's done I then pack your print, beautifully, and book a collection with the courier company who will deliver it. Time-wise, this can now be two-to-three days after your initial order was placed (depending on the time of day you placed your order).
After your package has been collected from us the normal delivery service will take between three-to-five working days. So, as you can see, we don't even try to compete on speed of delivery - that's not what we're about. Something else best mentioned here is that your order is still subject to the standard credit clearance checks imposed by our on-line bank
Because each print is made to order, our website doesn't offer a Next Day Delivery service. We can deliver to you more quickly than stated above, but you'll need to call us to arrange this and, I'm sure you won't be surprised to hear, it will cost you more. The majority of our UK Mainland orders are delivered flat packed but, for their added safety, extra large prints will be rolled into a four inch diameter tube. For UK Offshore and International orders, your prints, no matter what size, will probably also be delivered rolled into a tube. Please Note: for international deliveries we are not responsible for any further taxes, duties or charges to be paid to the receiving country's customs. These charges are the responsibility of you, the customer.

Angela Davidson Art offers a full refund on all goods that you may be dissatisfied with.
Unsuitable or defective items may be returned for refund or exchange providing they are received within 14 days of the original delivery date in brand new, unused condition, in the original undamaged packaging and accompanied by a note stating your name, address, email address, contact telephone number, order number, and the reason for the return. Please also state what refund/exchange you require. We will consider the overall condition of the product being returned when making a refund. As soon as our on-line bank clears your payment into our account we will process your refund. Exchanges will be actioned as soon as we've made your replacement print. We will notify you via email or telephone as soon as your request has been processed.
You will need to pay the cost of returning goods to us, unless the goods are defective. Proof of posting will be required should an item be lost in transit. Neither refunds nor replacements can be made until such proof is provided. We strongly suggest you get a Certificate of Posting from the Post Office or a receipt from your carrier when you send an item back.
All refunds are applied to the credit/debit card used to make the original purchase unless otherwise notified. Refunds will be furnished within 30 days of the agreement to refund.
If you have requested a refund, or replacements of a lower value than the returned goods, a refund will be credited back to the card used to pay for the original order. We will let you know as soon as the refund has been processed.
If you have requested replacements of a higher value, any difference due will be charged to the card used to pay for the original order.
