Happy Valais: So, at breakfast one morning, the Resident Artist said with a cheesy smile, "I've got a picture of some lovely sheep on my easel."
I sucked the milk from my spoonful of Shredded Wheat then stared into the bowl - trying to show my contempt for all things shredded. "I know," I said, wishing I'd been staring at porridge instead of a bowl of abused seed. "I've seen it."
"Well, what d'you think?" Her smile broadened, then, detecting the first hint of disappointment on my face, it slowly faded.
I stirred the contents of my bowl, slowly, "I thought we were having porridge."
