Clydesdale Horse Art: Some Boys Love Dogs
If I had to choose a favourite print from the range, this one would be up there in the top three. The creation of Some Boys Love Dogs was filmed by BBC Scotland and screened on their Landward programme a few years ago. The crew spent most of a day filming in the studio and at Strathorn Stables where Jake (the Clydesdale horse in the picture) used to live. Anyway, to cut a long story short, this one's been on the telly and the closing sequence of the film caused - something to fly into my eyes and make them water - honest. The film showed Lawrie and Jake walking away from the camera and then gradually faded into the completed artwork which you see here. . Some Boys Love Dogs was also used in Mary Bromilow's book: The Clydesdale: workhorse of the world (forward by HRH The Prince of Wales).
